My husband and I met while we were both undergrads at Clemson University. I was studying applied math and he was studying biochemistry. We dated through the end of our undergrad degrees and while we were both working on our master’s: mine in applied math and his in business administration. In April of 2010, we got engaged and then moved to Boston in June. I started working on unmanned aircraft sense and avoid algorithms and analysis at MIT and he started working on the business side of a pharmaceutical company.
We got married in December 2010 in Charleston, SC and were enjoying life in Boston and never thought we’d leave. Then, about a year ago, my husband accepted a job opportunity in Geneva, Switzerland for his work. We were incredibly excited for the opportunity to live abroad and travel all over Europe! That’s when I started this blog as a way to share my adventures with my family and friends.
My husband and I enjoy traveling and going on road trips. We did a cross-country road trip from Los Angeles to Boston for our honeymoon and have since done two road trips in Europe: one in Spain and one through 9 countries including Germany! We both enjoy cooking and trying out new cuisines and restaurants. I love to read and enjoy web design and development. I have been sewing and crafting since I was little and I enjoy sewing, quilting, knitting, jewelry making, and other DIY crafts, though unfortunately my sewing machine doesn’t work over here in Switzerland!
